A Short Film titled World Is Round

Check out my latest short film. Titled World Is Round.

The fabricated guitar was strummed and recorded at Jackson Records in Chester NH. My manager went ahead and added some echos and effects to the vocals which turned out nice. He had as good of a time as I did working on this short film and I am grateful to present it to you.

July is loaded with summer music tour dates. I'll be in Mass 3 times and am very pumped to have as many dates as I do. Here are the dates for July...

In The Studio making Heaven Or Hell

WHAT WOULD LIKE BE LIKE IF JOHN LENNON WERE ALIVE? Twist and Shout, Love, Working Class Hero, I Am The Walrus... such great art. Today I'm remembering John Lennon and spreading my love and gratitude for him ever existing and blessing us with such natural talent.

I shot a third webisode of me recording my song Heaven Or Hell. I shot in the studio with my manager recording. Check out the video.

Zach Stevens is coming over later in the day and we are going to the Pasta Loft at night to shake our tail. Last week, Zach, myself, and the record label took a trip to the Pasta Loft and had a good time. There was another excellent musician there named Mike who was running the event. People were sitting, eating, and talking about there daily business and a stunning waitress left me with a kind hearted present, a batch 19 black Fedaro. I thank that waitress for teaching me a lesson in giving.

I had a dream that I was driving in my car with three Auburn girls that I grew up with back at AVS. I looked up in the sky and saw a word that I could not make out. The word was written backwards in the sky and it was left from a plane that had just flown by. It felt like a sign had been made in the sky. Just as I turned onto the street, a nuclear wave of, what felt like radiation, wofted over me and my car. I felt my body falling backwards. It was a feeling of letting go, a feeling of going with the flow, a feeling of leaving my body in some sort of outer body experience. I woke up instantly in a satisfied sweat. I liked that dream. Maybe it was John Lennon flying the plane and sending me a message.

Much Love,

The Birth of a Guitar

The birth of a guitar has taken place at Jackson Records. Feast your eyes upon this new Arts & Luthier steel string guitar and Tama Star Classic Maple drum set....

Both these instruments belong to my manager, who might I add, rocks both of them out like you wouldn't believe. While recording my track Strummin', he layed down a perfect rhythm to it on his drum set. He made the drums sound rhythmatic, gravity defying, jazz infused with an indie flair and blew the studio away. My eyes closed for approximately 10 seconds and when I opened them, we had landed on Pluto.

I've started a series of webisodes titled Love² x Z. Check out the first episode on youtube. Click here.... Love² x Z episode 1.

Blessed

Recording Waiting On The Tides To Change is going great. Staying to the click track can be tricky but it's a blast when you hear the final outcome. We have two songs left to record... Why Not and It's Love, and then the funnest part comes... adding all the extra instruments. There has been talk at the kitchen table of adding a harp, flute, ukulele, slide guitars, horns, saxophones, and pianos.

After a hot and sweaty unsuccessful recording session of a song called One Thing Is For Sure, I decided it was time to take a break and sing about my gratitude. I wrote a tune called Blessed and will be playing it at Borders in Concord this Sunday. Zach Stevens will be there and I am also going to try to work more on the documentary that day. Borders is a great place to express yourself, jam out, and play new tunes. I met a great guy Kenny Weiland there. Whats up Kenny!!!

The documentary and music video continue to be worked on. I talked to my brother today and asked him if he would be down with getting on my track, This Moment, and being shot in the music video. So stay tuned for a possible collaboration of my brother and I. Thanks for your patience... I hope to be delivering some great material to you this summer.

Experience after experience

As I continue to spew out my fascination and write about these life changing experiences I am having, I wonder who really is reading this. Anyway, today was a great day infused with loving laughter and grateful conversation. I recorded my album title song Waiting On The Tides To Change. Heres is a picture of me recording the ever so softly crying electric guitar in the song...

The sounds were turning me on so much that I began hysterically laughing. It was more or less an experience that I had with my new manager. I feel passionate about the song and explain in the upcoming documentary that the title Waiting On The Tide To Change means a shift, a movement, a change, a coming of the age. Stay tuned for the documentary and music video I am working on with Chris G. If the twelve songs become successful, I want to use the success in ways to help you and your family and I hope to gain knowledge, wisdom, and possibly even power so that I can continue expressing the immense love that I have for you and everything that makes you, you.

After that great experience, the experiences continued with a lady, Paula who has one of the biggest hearts. She unconditionally loves her husband and children and spends her days taking in homeless guys like me and turning lives around. She is an icon to me and makes me feel blessed every day by cooking and taking photos and videos of my adventures in the studio with Tim and on stage at gigs. Today, Paula and I ventured around the farm doing a photo shoot. I sang her some Jason Mraz tunes and we tried to pick up the chickens to shoot a video of Waiting On The Tide To Change. From the photo shoot came this photo....

The farm is beautiful and life changing. This new album I am working on will be released properly so you can access it and get it immediately to your ears. Tim and I make a great team and my gratitude will never end. We sampled 4 of the 12 (or 13) songs in my car stereo, another experience. Today was full of experiences and I hope you have the same experience when the songs reach you. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience. Hope we can fall in love soon.

Love,
Zach

Every Day Is A New Page

Keyboardist David Kwan brought over his Korg keyboard and Tim and I plugged it in today. We will be putting some parts on the album soon. The keyboard offers strings, synthesizers, brass, drums, and then all the funny quarkey sounds like laughter, cars, trains, birds, etc. When Paula walked in the room to tonights recording session, I pressed the key and out busted a lady laughing which obviously triggered Paula and I to burst out laughing. Ahh, so great.

My friendship with Tim Jackson is off to a great start. There are many qualities about him that I find both fascinating and interesting. The most reassuring quality is his intelligence. The man is brilliant and lives on a farm, in which he takes care of his whole family. I respect Tim man greatly for noticing my talent and teaching me how to be a better man, overall and better at business. He is taking my career to the next level and everyday I seem to learn something different. I mean, his brain is like an encyclopedia and everyday is a new page into it.
