I ponder the day before me
As I ponder the day before
Reminded kindly of your open door
Nose in the book
A new life begins
I feel content
With my current level of sins
I confess to thee
That I may slip and fall
But with endurance and love
I focus on You through it all.
The days are evil
They will only get worse
But following You
Is no doubt the best course
Trials and tribulation are sure to come
But we have an advocate
Whom some might say is The chosen one
So as I digress
Today was a good day
Perfect nearly slightly
But I will not stray away
I’m old enough to know
What’s right and what’s wrong
So maybe one day I’ll put this in a song
That I will push forward
And stand firm on higher ground
I choose to strive for perfection
I choose to strive year round
